Living Science Returns to Lend a Hand

LCB 2012

Living Science is a unique group of faith based home-schooled students from Woodstock, GA. As part of their descipleship program, the seniors take a trip every year to offer different forms of community support. As a rule, they do not know where their trip will be each year, and they don't visit the same place twice.

Last year, the founders of Living Science, Mr. & Mrs. D. planned their trip to come to our zoo to help us get ready for the spring season. We thoroughly enjoyed these families, their work ethic, and the camaraderie between these young people. Apparently, they enjoyed it too because they made the unprescendented decision to come back again this year!!

They spent two days with us assisting our crew with landscaping, painting, food prepping, laundry, and raking the camel yard - with smiles on their faces! The end result was amazing and now our pathways and picnic areas look like new!

Our staff was so grateful for their help that we gave them a special animal show where they were able to learn about and get up close and personal with several of our furry, and not so furry, friends. We are so appreciative for all of their hard work and dedication and hope to have these remarkable young men and women return next year!
