Annual Low Country Boil
February 24, 2012

Since 2006, the Low Country Boil — a delicious brew of green beans, garlic, creamer new potatoes, pearl onions, corn, shrimp and sausage simmered in a kettle — has raised $20,600 for “The Little Zoo That Could.” Several Snowbird Clubs join together each year while here in Gulf Shores and together they make this annual all-in-one-pot all-you-can-eat-buffet one of the biggest fundraisers of the year!

The first year they sold 440 tickets. Last year, they sold 880 tickets! What will this year bring? Contact your Snowbird Club for tickets.

Zoo Camp
June 25-29, 2012

Zoo Campers

Zoo Camp is a callaborative effort between our zoo staff, local sponsors, and very talented licensed teachers and trained volunteers.  Children will explore animal life at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, meet our animal care-takers, and even greet some of our animal residents personally.  They will also participate in age-specific games, arts and crafts projects and special zoo-related events.  There will be plenty of hands-on educational and fun activities carried out in a safe and educational environment.
