Thanks for Your Quarters!

Thanks so much to all of you who came to visit us yesterday for just 25 cents! It was so nice to have a full house here and the animals enjoyed seeing YOU as much as you did them! We hope everyone made it over to Mikee's to get their fabulous menu items for a quarter a piece, too! Judging by the very, very long line it looks like everyone did! The Silent Auction went very well and we so appreciate Mikee's for including our zoo in their 25th anniversary celebration!

Best Halloween Costume Ever!

Meet Charlotte from Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. She's a long time fan of the zoo and adores Patti. We recently received a really cool card from Charlotte, along with a picture of her on Halloween when she dressed up as - yep! you guessed it - Patti Hall! Her costume was complete with a baby cappuchin and business cards so that all of Lookout Mountain knows to come to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo!

The Amazing Green Zoo!

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, 2011, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo officially announced that we are embarking on an exciting new journey - to become the "world's first environmentally sustainable zoo built from the ground up!"

We may have all kinds of footprints here, but none of them will be of the “carbon” kind when we move to our brand new Green facility opening in the Fall of 2012.

Get ready to be amazed!
